SIMIODE is merging into the rich community at COMAP: Consortium for  Mathematics and its Applications.

This will be a gradual process and all the features of SIMIODE will remain in place at COMAP: FREE downloadable and modifiable Modeling Scenarios and all teaching resources, SIMIODE EXPO Conference, SIMIODE HTML Textbook, and SCUDEM.

The transition will take place this summer with completion in the fall. The first SIMIODE activity offered in COMAP will be SCUDEM XI 2026. This SIMIODE Challenge Using Differential Equations Modeling will continue in the SIMIODE tradition. SCUDEM XI 2026 will offer students three problems for modeling with differential equations in physics/engineering, chemistry/life sciences, and social sciences/humanities and student teams of three will work on their modeling efforts of choice from 16 October - 10 November 2026, producing and uploading a ten-minute video of their work for judging and rich feedback.

Registration for SCUDEM teams and coaches is now open. Further, there is a need for Volunteer Judges. So visit SCUDEM XI 2026 and sign up, please.

We are very pleased that COMAP will host SIMIODE and maintain SIMIODE traditions and activities. We also encourage you to keep the rich modeling site and community at  COMAP in mind when looking for the future of SIMIODE and for COMAP's many rich application resources. Meanwhile, the SIMIODE site will remain, as will SIMIODE's YouTube Channel.

Thank you.
